TÜBİTAK National Metrology Institute (TÜBİTAK UME) is a research and development institute, and is responsible for the establishment, maintenance, dissemination and international equivalence of national measurement standards. The contact temperature Laboratory has extensive experience in temperature measurements such as the primary realisation of ITS-90  in contact temperature field between -189.3442 °C and  961.78 °C. TUBITAK UME  Temperature Laboratory has been involved in many projects related to scientific metrology under EMRP or EMPIR. The Temperature Laboratory and the Acoustics Laboratory of TUBITAK initiated an internal project for the establishment of Acoustic Gas Thermometry based on a quasi-spherical acoustic resonator and a high stability and uniformity thermostatic system operating in the temperature range between 234 K and 323 K.
